Pleasure Point is located 27 kilometres south west of the Sydney central business district; it is in the local government area of the City of Liverpool. Pleasure Point is a small suburb in the south western Sydney area

On the southern bank of the Georges River Pleasure Point is a geographical location which gives its name to the suburb. The only adjacent suburbs are located on the opposite bank of the Georges River – Picnic Point, Voyager Point, Holsworthy, East Hills and Sandy Point.

Pleasure Point has been a suburb for more than 30 years. The Holsworthy Army Base is located nearby. The military base has been an artillery and training range for the Australian Army since World war One. Following World War Two it became a major base for the permanent component of the army in New South Wales

In 1987 the boundaries of Pleasure Point were altered by the creation of Voyager Point as a suburb.
