Hello lovely people 🙂
And now, my dear computer repair DIY gurus, we will talk about getting quick access to volume mixer sound settings in your Windows 7 machines. There is more to Windows 7 than just big shiny new features – there are many little *tweaks* that add a really nice touch to the overall usability of the operating system. I think we should start by saying that you can right click the sound icon in the tray and get a quick menu that will give you access to the Sound Mixer etc…
We are all familiar with the pop up slider that comes when we single click the volume icon – but you can also open the Speaker Properties dialog box by clicking the Speaker icon.
Naturally, you can change your speaker settings here.
You will also be able to click on the sounds icon when you open up the full mixer panel.
This will pop the Sound Panel up where you can disable some particular sounds or, all of them if you want to.
While this is nothing revolutionary many of these tiny tweaks make things a little easier to use, and, Windows 7 is full of them!
Well, I hope that helped. Please give a call to our computer repairs geeks if you need any help with this or setting up other things on your computer.
Over and out
