Liberty Grove Historical Note:

Liberty Grove is located 16 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district; it is the local government area of the City of Canada Bay and is in the inner west area of Sydney

Free settlers who arrived in 1793 on the Bellona began farming the area and called it Liberty Plains. The name was adapted for the new development of Liberty Grove. The suburb has been built on former industrial land and was built to cater for the number or people wanting to buy investment properties in Sydney during the lead up to the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

In 1999 Liberty Grove won the Urban Development Institute of Australia Award for excellence.

Squeezed between Homebush Bay Drive and the Northern railway line, it is surrounded by the suburbs of Concord West and Rhodes.

The development is a mix of high and low rise units, townhouses, duplexes and free standing homes. The complex contains convenience stores, swimming pool, and tennis courts
