Lethbridge Park Historical Note:

Lethbridge Park is located 47 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district; it is in the local government area of the City of Blacktown and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region.

Lethbridge Park has been named after the Lethbridge family. On January first 1806 Robert Copeland Lethbridge settled at his land grant at Werrington, while his sister Harriet settled on the Dunheved Estate. The areas two pioneer families were related by marriage. Harriet Lethbridge was married to Captain Peter Parker King who was the son of Governor Philip Gidley King and Anna Josepha King. Robert Copeland Lethbridge had married Phillips sister Mary.

There is one public school in Lethbridge Park which covers Kindergarten to Grade 6 – Lethbridge Park Primary School.

The areas neighbouring suburbs are Ropes Crossing, North St Marys, Tregear, Willmot, Whalan, Shalvey, Blackett and Emerton.
